Have any of you actually ever seen a tornado in person?
I've seen quite a few. The biggest one I saw was one that hit Mapleton, Iowa, on 4/9/11. It was a wedge tornado that was nearly a mile wide. We were storm chasing and that was my first and only visit to the plains.
I've seen rope tornadoes and smaller ones around my area.
How about you all? Feel free to share pictures/video as well. I don't have any good footage myself!
